Actor Chad Lowe and wife Kim Painter announced that their daughter Fiona Hepler Lowe, 13, passed away earlier this week. New details have slowly become available amid this tragedy.

“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the family said, via People, remembering her as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.”

“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time. New Details Have Been Confirmed by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner

The medical examiner confirmed that Fiona passed away in a hospital on Tuesday, September 29.

The case is remaining open as an exam will take place, Us Weekly reports.

Fiona is the middle child of Chad and Kim, who are also parents to daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.

Much like his older brother Rob Lowe, Chad is also an actor, and most recently appeared in a recurring role as Rob‘s onscreen brother in 9-1-1: Lone Star.
