Matt Rogers Joins 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' Season 2 Cast at Prime Video - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Matt Rogers is joining Mr. & Mrs Smith for Season 2.

The 36-year-old Las Culturistas comedian and actor is set to star in the second season of Prime Video‘s spy series.

Matt will play “one of the title characters” alongside Francesca Scorsese, who plays Mrs. Smith.

The two are “not believed to be part of a pair the way fellow Season 2 cast additions Mark Eydelshteyn (Mr. Smith) and Talia Ryder (Mrs. Smith) are,” Deadline notes.

The show began production in April in Los Angeles, but there are no specific details about the plot just yet.

The first season was led by Maya and Donald, with Francesca Sloane as showrunner and writer. Beef‘s Anna Ouyang Moench is now taking over in that role.

Season 1 leads Donald Glover and Maya Erskine are still expected to reprise their roles as John Smith and Jane Smith in some capacity.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is reportedly moving forward as an anthology series, as opposed to continuing the story of the two lead actors from the first season. It’s inspired by the 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, but in the show, it’s two strangers as partners in espionage, not a married couple.
