Madonna & Charli xcx Announce 'Danceteria Afterhours' Collaboration | Just Jared

Madonna and Charli xcx are teaming up for a new project!

They will collaborate on “Danceteria (Afterhours),” a new remix from Madonna‘s Confessions II album. It will be released on September 24.

Charli and Madonna announced their team-up with a brief teaser shared on Instagram on Friday (September 18) with the caption, “Let’s take it to the East side baby……” alongside the release date.

The pop duo have been sharing teasers throughout the month, starting with a post on September 6 where Madonna posted a video on TikTok saying, “Thinking about Charli….,” and the “Guess” singer replied, “wait… i got something i wanna talk about!”

Back in June, Madonna and Charli were spotted together at Madonna‘s Club Confessions party in Paris, France. You can check out the photos here.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Madonna would open the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, marking her first performance there in over two decades.

The Confessions II superstar leads with 11 nominations, and has already scored 19 wins in her career. She previously led the nominations in 1998 and 1990.

Charli is currently on her Music, Fashion, Film Tour after kicking off in Pennsylvania on September 11. Check out the complete setlist here!
