La Toya Jackson is opening up about the lack of her sister Janet Jackson in the upcoming Michael biopic.
The 69-year-old singer is depicted in the forthcoming biopic about her late brother Michael Jackson, with Jessica Sula portraying her.

“I wish everybody was in the movie,” she told Variety‘s Marc Malkin on the red carpet. “She was asked and she kindly declined so you have to respect her wishes.”
Director Antoine Fuqua also addressed the lack of Janet in the movie.
“I have so much respect and love for Janet, but you know it’s OK. She’s supportive of Jaafar and that’s what matters,” he said.
La Toya even went on to praise her nephew Jaafar Jackson, who portrays Michael in the movie.
“Jaafar was absolutely fabulous. I’m sure you’ve seen the movie and you know how wonderful he is, how we all forget and think that we’re watching Mike,” she said. “It’s like, ‘Oh, I forgot this is Jaafar.’ So, he really delivered and he did a fabulous job.”
Much of the Jackson family has been very supportive of the movie, with several of Michael‘s siblings attending premieres and events, and even his sons Prince and Bigi have also stepped out. In fact, Prince and several other Jackson family members even serve as executive producers on the film.
Michael is set to hit theaters THIS Friday (April 24). Watch the trailer here!
