Kathryn Hahn Remembers Working With the Late Catherine O'Hara, Says She Was 'Like a North Star' Before ' The Studio' - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Kathryn Hahn is recalling working with the late Catherine O’Hara on The Studio.
The 52-year-old actress appears on the latest episode of Big Bro with Kid Cudi, and opened up about how the late actress was to work with after looking up to her beforehand.
“Catherine O’Hara, she was like a North Star to me, before working with her. I remember seeing those Christopher Guest movies and growing up watching SCTV and always being like, ‘Who is that?’ Because she’s f-cking extraordinary,” Kathryn shared. “And one of the reasons I always was like… in all of her comedy, she’s always rooted to something really true underneath it, and like kind of a deep sadness almost. There’s something about her characters that always felt like there’s a pathos to them, which I thought was like, it’s complicated and hard to do. I was always like, ‘Ooh, I love that.'”
“I didn’t get to work with her as much as she collaborated, like she and Eugene Levy collaborated for like 50 years,” she continued. “So, I can’t imagine those losses and the loss it is for her family and her hubby. And I hesitate to even talk because I can’t imagine the pain that people are going through right now.”
“But I certainly, it’s a great loss. A great loss. And she leaves a huge hole in that show [The Studio].”
Catherine sadly passed away earlier this year and work on The Studio season two is currently underway. Co-creator and star Seth Rogen opened up about how her death will be addressed in the show.
Back in March, the cast was seen filming scenes while in Italy.
