Jonathan Groff to Reunite With 'Merrily We Roll Along' Co-Star Daniel Radcliffe for New Movie 'Trust the Man' - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Jonathan Groff and Daniel Radcliffe are reuniting for an upcoming new movie!

The Tony-winning Merrily We Roll Along co-stars are set to star in Trust the Man, a Vietnam war thriller film, according to Deadline.

Jonathan is the latest star to join the cast, following previously announced Daniel, who has been attached for over a year. Lucas Hedges was previously attached but exited due to scheduling issues.

Will Graham will direct from a script he wrote, which “follows an ambitious Army Intelligence officer who’s assigned to investigate a decorated soldier with a mysterious past during the Vietnam War. As surveillance and interrogation deepen, the line between loyalty and obsession blurs, leading both men into a dangerous and uncontrollable connection.”

Production is set to begin this summer in New Jersey.

Jonathan and Daniel previously worked together on the Broadway musical revival of Merrily We Roll Along, which earned the 2024 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Jonathan also won Best Actor and Daniel won Best Featured Actor.

Jonathan recently starred on Broadway in Just In Time, which earned him another Best Actor in a Musical nom at the 2025 Tonys, while Daniel recently wrapped up a run in the one-person show Every Brilliant Thing. Daniel is currently nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play at the upcoming 2026 Tony Awards for his work in the play. The awards show takes place THIS coming Sunday (June 7)!
