It looks like fans have finally gotten confirmation that actress and model Tae Heckard is married to Star Wars‘ John Boyega.
Rumors that the couple secretly tied the knot started back in May, when eagle-eyed social media sleuths noticed the pair sporting wedding bands in certain photos. Plus, the stars were exclusively following one another on their Instagram accounts.
In more recent Instagram posts, the model has confirmed that she is off the market, though she’s kept the chatter surrounding her relationship hush hush. Still, she drops hints here and there that seem to confirm her and Boyega are happily married.
One of the pictures that appeared in her latest carousel shows half of Boyega’s face with the Tae’s reflection in his sunglasses. She also included a sweet cartoon sketch of the couple, which is the closest we’ve gotten to a bonafide hard launch.
To make their relationship even more obvious, the Star Wars actor took to his rumored-wife’s comment section with some flirty banter. making jokes about pounded yam, a popular Nigerian dish. Plus, he referred to Heckard as his “lover.”
“So this is why you cook Pounded yam and egusi on Saturdays?? a tactical weapon of mass plan-canceling. I’m onto you lover,” he commented on the post, which included a reel about how 35 and up folks prefer to hang out at home.
While the British actor is only 34, Heckard is 14 years his senior at 48.
Boyega has also commented on other recent posts from the model, joking about how she keeps them “in Walmart for 2+ hours.” Heckard had no problem with that accusation, replying that she does because “i love watching you put all my shenannies in the cart. yum.”
Tae and John going more public with their relationship comes months after fans first speculated about their marital status. As BOSSIP previously reported, back in May, Heckard posted a dump of photos that featured a sparkly engagement ring and matching wedding band.
While neither star has said, outright, that they’re married, Tae is still wearing those rings in her most recent post, which seems to confirm that she’s a wife.
As for when these two private lovebirds first began dating, it’s hard to say. They were first spotted together, publicly, at Disneyland in April 2025–but it’s possible that they’ve been cooking up a romance for much longer, out of the public eye.
