Janet Jackson looks super chic as she hits the carpet at the 2026 BET Awards held at Peacock Theater on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles.
The 60-year-old entertainer arrived wearing a 2Pac t-shirt over a striped white long-sleeve button-up shirt. She paired the look with gray, striped pants, a large belt, and a fedora with a veil.
This marks a rare red carpet appearance for the Grammy award-winning singer, who was last seen on a carpet back in May, at the Grammy Hall of Fame, where she was honored.
It’s currently unclear why Janet is in attendance, though it’s likely she’ll appear on stage to present one of the special awards – the Living Legend Icon Award, the Ultimate Icon Award, or the Icon of the Year award.
If you missed it, Janet‘s nephew Jaafar Jackson was also spotted arriving at the awards show, where he posed for photos with his Michael co-star Nia Long, who played Janet‘s mother, Katherine Jackson, in the biopic.
Earlier this year, Janet‘s sister La Toya revealed why the singer was not included in the biopic about their brother Michael Jackson.
The 2026 BET Awards, hosted by Druski, will air live on BET beginning at 8pm ET. The show will also simulcast on BET HER, CMT, LOGO, MTV, MTV2, Nickelodeon (NAN), Paramount, POP, VH1, Comedy Central, and TV Land.
