Home Improvement remains one of television’s most beloved sitcoms.

The series, led by Tim Allen, aired on ABC from September 1991 to May 1999, spanning eight seasons and more than 200 episodes.

Inspired by Tim‘s stand-up comedy, Home Improvement became one of the highest-rated sitcoms of the decade.

The show follows Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, a popular TV personality, as he navigates the challenges and joys of raising three rambunctious boys with the support of his wife, co-host, and quirky neighbor.

The cast has taken very different paths since the show ended, and several of the stars have been back in the headlines recently.

Most recently, Jonathan Taylor Thomas made headlines following an encounter with police in California. He was arrested and released approximately 34 hours later, and charges have not been filed by the district attorney’s office at this time.
