A young child pop star named Hirata Runa has tragically passed away at only 8 years old.
She was a trainee for the Japanese girls’ idol group DIANNA Project.
Hirata Runa‘s Cause of Death Confirmed in a Statement
Her talent agency released a statement, which has been translated to English.
“We regret to inform you that Hirata Runa … has passed away due to myocarditis resulting from influenza .We extend our deepest gratitude to all the fans who have supported Hirata Runa and to all those involved who have provided assistance,” her her talent agency confirmed in a statement.
“Out of respect for the feelings of the bereaved family, we kindly ask that you refrain from making individual inquiries, interviews, or asking questions on social media regarding this matter,” the statement added.
She is said to have passed away on September 25.
She Performed in her Last Concert Just 5 Days Before Her Death
The young singer had a performance on September 20, just 5 days before she passed away, according to Chinese outlet The Standard.
After her final show, she shared a message on X, writing, “Thank you for today too, I appreciate it [emoji] It was so much fun…”
