Hallmark Channel is celebrating its 25th birthday this week and giving fans a peek at what’s to come in the next year.

It was just announced that streaming service Hallmark+ has ordered Change of Heart, an all-new original scripted series set to premiere in 2027.

Here’s the logline: “After a life-changing heart transplant, jaded divorce attorney Charlie Wyatt is called to service the exact opposite: fighting for love in all its forms.”

Erin Gibson, who was a writer on Hallmark+’s The Chicken Sisters in season one and promoted to showrunner in season two, will serve as showrunner for Change of Heart. The show is created by Jonny Umanksy, who is a writer on the upcoming TV adaptation of the rom-com Serendipity.

No casting announcements have been made for Change of Heart as of this time.

Hallmark+, a subscription-based streaming service, launched in September 2024 and is currently the home to shows like When Hope Calls, Paris Is Always a Good Idea, and unscripted Hallmark shows like Finding Mr. Christmas, Small Town Setup, and Home Is Where the Heart Is. The streamer also hosts a library of nearly every Hallmark Channel movie that you want to watch!
