Halle Berry, Colin Firth, Zoe Kravitz, & Jack Whitehall to Star in 'Otherwise Engaged' Rom-Com Movie | Just Jared

A star-studded new rom-com has been announced!

On Friday (September 4), Deadline announced that Halle Berry, Colin Firth, Zoe Kravitz, and Jack Whitehall will all be starring in the new movie titled Otherwise Engaged.

Here’s the synopsis:

“Charlie (Whitehall) is ready to marry the love of his life, Gabby (Kravitz), until his estranged father (Firth), a fallen business tycoon fresh out of prison, shows up on their doorstep and soon falls for Gabby’s fiercely independent mother (Berry). Now, their parents’ unlikely romance threatens to turn Charlie and Gabby’s dream wedding into their worst nightmare.”

Suzanne Farwell will direct the movie from a script she co-wrote with Gabriel Mizrahi.

Production for Otherwise Engaged is scheduled to begin in March 2027 in New York. Mister Smith Entertainment is handling international sales, and launching the movie for pre-sales at the upcoming TIFF Market. CAA Media Finance is handling U.S. rights.

I’m thrilled to be working with such an extraordinary cast and creative team to bring it to life and look forward to introducing the project to the international marketplace at TIFF.”

Colin will next be starring alongside Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor Johnson, and Adele in her acting debut in Tom Ford‘s new movie Cry to Heaven. Find out more about the project here!
