President Donald Trump hid in a food truck amid an assassination threat, according to a new report.

The 80-year-old President of the United States hid in an airport catering truck to secretly fly out of Turkey on a military jet, according to The Washington Post.

The White House had said that he was aboard Air Force One when he left a NATO summit in Ankara in July.

The report claims that an Iranian assassination threat against President Trump resulted in the “extraordinary operation.”

According to an anonymous U.S. official and other materials reviewed by the outlet, Trump was “secretly shuttled” to a smaller plane “via an airport catering truck typically used to load meals and other supplies preflight,” making Air Force One a “decoy” with media and some White House staffers on the plane.

White House communications director Steven Cheung issued a statement in response.

“The new Air Force One is a state-of-the-art aircraft that has been fitted with high-level security protocols that ensure the safety of the President and his staff. As the President has said recently, there are many enemies of America who have their sights on him, and we use every tool at our disposal to address those threats.”
