Chicago PD’s Jesse Lee Soffer to Star in CBS Law Enforcement Series ‘Strike Force’

Jesse Lee Soffer is eyeing a return to television!
The 42-year-old actor is best known for his work as Jay Halstead on the NBC series Chicago PD, which he left in 2022 in the middle of the 10th season. Jesse went on to join the CBS series FBI: International for the show’s fourth and final season.
Now, Jesse is remaining at CBS with another law enforcement show.

Jesse Lee Soffer to star in Strike Force series for CBS
Jesse will star in and executive produce the upcoming series Strike Force, which is being developed at CBS right now. The title is currently just a working title and could change in the future.
Variety reports that the show follows a “battle-tested DEA agent (Soffer) who returns home to Kansas City to lead a multi-agency strike force targeting the violent criminals now trying to exploit America’s heartland.”
The show will potentially launch in the 2027-2028 broadcast season.
Matt Olmstead, the co-creator and showrunner of Chicago PD, will write and executive produce the new series. He has also had a role working on all of the Chicago shows for NBC. Other executive producers include Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed.
Jesse has been rumored to be dating one of his Chicago co-stars.
