Scott Baio is once again denying the allegations made against him by his Charles in Charge co-star Nicole Eggert.
The 65-year-old Happy Days star was on Arroyo Grande‘s podcast this week when the host asked him about the allegations and what Scott thought was behind it all.
Arroyo noted that Scott had said he’d taken a lie detector test to clear his name. He previously stated that he took and passed five different polygraph tests.

According to the Chachi actor, he believes there was a “conspiracy” forged against him by people who thought he was planning to run for office after he spoke at the Republican National Convention in July 2016 and did not want him to.
“I think it was money. I have on good authority it was money,” Scott explained, adding that he heard it from someone “who was at the table when this conspiracy was being hatched.”
He continued, “But it was primarily a money play, which we debunked— video, audio, print—where this person contradicted everything that she said about me. But nobody cares about that, they care about the salacious comment or the salacious accusation.”
As for his feelings toward Nicole now, the Bugsy Malone star says he hopes she’s “miserable.”
“I hope she’s miserable because what she did to me and my family was unconscionable,” he said.
Nicole spoke at length about the sexual misconduct allegations on NBC’s Today in early 2018.
She accused Scott of sexually abusing her “more than 10 times,” starting when she was 14 and he was 26, throughout the time they worked together on Charles in Charge. The show aired from 1984 to 1990.
She filed a police report, but no charges were filed.
Nicole was not the only Charles in Charge star to allege misconduct by Scott.
Alexander Polinsky, who played Adam Powell, claimed that Scott had made homophobic comments toward him and fostered a “toxic environment” in which he inflicted “verbal attacks, mental abuse,” and “a physical assault,” including having his pants pulled down and getting hot tea thrown in his face.
Alexander also said he “witnessed Scott Baio acting inappropriately towards Nicole Eggert” during his first year on the show.
Scott denied all of the allegations made against him by both Nicole and Alexander.
