Mamie Gummer is one step closer to legally being single again.

More than a year after filing, the 42-year-old We Were Liars actress settled her divorce from husband Mehar Sethi on Friday (April 24), according to TMZ.

Mamie first filed for divorce from 44-year-old screenwriter in February 2025. She listed their date of separation as May 6, 2023 and listed irreconcilable differences as the reason.

Keep reading to find out more…At the time, the actress, who is Meryl Streep‘s eldest daughter, was seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two kids – son Peter, 7, and daughter Mary, 4. She was also “seeking spousal support and checked the box to terminate the court’s ability to award support” to Mehar.

It’s unclear what agreement Mamie and Mehar reached as those court documents are private.

Mamie and Mehar got engaged in August 2018, and revealed they were expecting later that year. They were married in February 2019, and welcomed their son two months later. Their daughter was born two years later in 2021.

This is Mamie‘s second divorce as she was previously married actor Benjamin Walker from 2011 to 2013.

Along with Mamie, Meryl and ex-husband Don Gummer are also parents to son Henry Wolfe and daughters Grace Gummer and Louisa Jacobson.

Last month, Mamie and her sisters attended the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
