Anthony Kiedis‘ girlfriend Eileen Kelly doesn’t have an issue with him being more than twice her age.

The 30-year-old is in a rumored relationship with the 63-year-old Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman and penned an essay about it titled “My Boyfriend is Double My Age” for Vogue, published Tuesday (April 21).

Eileen doesn’t name drop Anthony in the essay, but they have been spotted together multiple times now and are believed to be together.

Noting that her boyfriend is “more than twice my age,” Eileen said that is “either alarming or impressive, depending on who you ask,” and said it is the first time she’s dated someone “significantly older.”

But Eileen doesn’t see an issue with it, and said that she will sometimes joke about what she’s been missing out on her entire life.

“My much older boyfriend seems genuinely excited to be with me—not like he’s biding his time before he can swipe for someone better. He is fully aware that he’s one lucky bastard,” she wrote.

They met at a birthday party and learned that she vacationed in a Hawaiian town where Anthony owns a home.

As for how she’s dealing with criticism, Eileen wrote that any time a man dates a much younger woman, he is labeled “creepy” and “gross,” while the women is often called a “gold digger,” or said to “have daddy issues.”

They’ve gotten their fair share of “unsolicited” remarks, including people wondering if he’s her father.

“It’s incredibly awkward every time,” she said, though she did note that power imbalances can occur, but doesn’t believe they fall into that category as she is not dependent on him for stability.

“I have my own money, my own career, and I have my own home. I love my boyfriend, but I’m not at risk of losing everything if we break up,” she said.
