Zayn Malik is back with new music!

On Friday (April 17), the 33-year-old “Pillowtalk” singer dropped his new album Konnakol.

The new album features previously released singles including “Die for Me” and “Sideways.”

Keep reading to find out more…Konnakol is now the fifth solo album Zayn has released since exiting One Direction in 2015. His first solo album, Mind of Mine, was released in 2016.

When he first announced Konnakol back in February, Zayn explained the meaning behind the album’s title.

“It’s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album… KONNAKOL in its definition is the act of creating percussive sounds with one’s voice but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper,” he shared. “It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed. I have always drawn on my heritage for inspiration since I first started making my own music, this album is a development of that understanding, knowing more now than ever, who I am, where I come from and where I intend to go.”

To celebrate the album, Zayn will be launching his Konnakol Tour on May 12 in England. After playing four shows there, he’ll bring the tour to North America in June, Latin America in October, and finally some final U.S. shows in November. You can check out all of the tour dates and stops here!
