The third season of Euphoria has finally premiered after over a three-year long wait!

In the season premiere, fans learned how the late Angus Cloud‘s character Fezco was written out of the show after the actor’s tragic death back in 2023.

Just last week at the show’s premiere, series creator Sam Levinson confirmed that Angus‘ character was still alive after being shot in the season two finale, and now we know what has happened to Fezco in the five years since.

During a conversation between Rue (Zendaya) and Lexi (Maude Apatow), who had a relationship with Fez in season two, Rue reveals that Fezco is alive, but he is incarcerated.

Rue also encourages Lexi to call Fezco, who she hasn’t spoken to in years and is currently serving 30 years in prison. Zendaya‘s character also assures her that he still misses Lexi.

If you recall, in the season two finale, Fezco was caught up in a SWAT raid at his house, where his adopted brother Ashtray was shot and killed by the police during an intense shootout.

At the end of the episode, following the credits, there was an “In Memoriam” tribute for Angus, Eric Dane and executive producer Kevin Turen, who have all passed away in the years since the show was last on.

The beginning of the episode featured a tribute to Eric Dane, who died earlier this year, after filming his own scenes for season three.
