Best Medicine Season 1 is coming to an end tonight.

The hit series, starring Josh Charles, will air its season finale at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.

In the finale, as the furious people of Port Wenn discover the truth about their deal with their Norwegian sister city, Martin must toggle between the potential revelation of his blood phobia, a startling baby delivery, and the arrival of his amorous ex. 

In the series, a brilliant surgeon leaves Boston to become a doctor in the small town where he spent childhood summers. Despite his medical skills, his rude manner alienates locals as he battles hidden phobias and struggles with personal connections.

The cast also includes Abigail Spencer, Josh Segarra, Cree and Annie Potts.

Fans might be curious to know whether the show will continue on for another season.

Best Medicine has been renewed for Season 2 at FOX!

The network renewed the show with a 12-episode second season for 2026-27 back in March, via Deadline.

The show’s premiere ranked among the top two highest-rated drama debuts this season among adults 18-49, and became the only scripted series this season to grow from its debut to its second episode in total viewers, per the report.

Best Medicine quickly became a breakout for us this season, blending sharp humor with real heart,” said the network’s Michael Thorn.

Liz Tuccillo brings a distinctive creative voice to the series, and Josh Charles leads an exceptional cast that audiences have embraced. We, along with Propogate, are excited to build on that momentum in Season 2.”

The show is based on the long-running ITV series Doc Martin.
