Filming has been underway on the upcoming A Different World sequel series!

Netflix recently announced several more new additions to the cast and we are recapping all of the casting news right here.

Previously, six stars from the original series were revealed to be reprising their roles and now two more have been added, making it almost a full cast reunion.

Here’s a synopsis: When Deborah, Dwayne Wayne, and Whitley Gilbert’s free-spirited, well-intentioned, yet rebellious youngest child, enters her freshman year at Hillman College, she finds the shadow of her parents difficult to escape as she sets out to build her own legacy, while having the time of her life, alongside a whole new generation of Hillman’s best and brightest.

The series will consist of 10, half-hour episodes in the single camera format.

Debbie Allen, who directed 83 episodes of the OG series, will return as executive producer and will direct three episodes, including the first one.
