Andrew Garfield is promoting his new movie at the 2026 New York Film Festival!
The 43-year-old Oscar-nominated actor joined co-stars Yura Borisov and Ike Barinholtz along with director Luca Guadagnino at the premiere of Artificial on Monday (October 5) held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City.
Fellow cast members in attendance included Jason Schwartzman, Billie Lourd, Cooper Hoffman, Matt Kranz, Will Angus, Nicholas Hamilton, and Will Price.
In Artificial, Andrew plays OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The movie dramatizes the upheaval at OpenAI in November 2023, when Altman was removed as CEO before returning to the company days later.
Amazon MGM Studios dropped the movie from its slate in June. At the time, an Amazon spokesperson said that the company would help the filmmakers find another distributor. Neon subsequently acquired the film.
Artificial opens in select theaters on December 25, 2026, with a wider release following in January. Watch the first teaser trailer here!
