Lucki is reportedly in stable condition and confirmed the news himself after videos surfaced of a ComplexCon clash that left him bleeding from the neck.
On Sunday, Oct. 4, AllHipHop reported that sources close to the Chicago rapper confirmed that his is currently recovering. Fans have wondered about his condition since he was last seen bleeding from the neck as he was assisted into a car.
As HipHopWired previously reported, an alleged fight broke out backstage with Playboi Carti’s entourage when Lucki appeared at ComplexCon on Saturday. One video appears to show Carti watching from the side as of a black truck as the chaos breaks out.
A second video raised concerns that the beef went farther than throwing hands as it showed Lucki appear to flee the scene with a bloody laceration to his neck. After he begins to get in the driver seat of a car, he is helped into the backseat.
Lucki & Sources Speak Out About His Condition After Neck Injury, LAPD Investigates Attempted Murder
The source reportedly linked the incident to a dispute between Lucki’s associates and Playboi Carti’s. The unnamed insider claimed that the situation escalated when an argument between Destroy Lonely and Lucki came to blows.
Although Playboi Carti is associated with multiple people at the ComplexCon clash, there are no claims circulating about his involvement in the alleged altercation itself. It also remains unclear whether Lucki’s wound is from a stabbing, as initial reports stated.
Screenshots of alleged DMs from Lucki seemingly confirm that he’s “good,” as well.
The two rappers went from collaborating on Lucki’s 2015 remix of “Saucin'” to seemingly falling out as friends in 2024. However, shade about tattoos and jewelry does not explain what could have led to Saturday’s events.
TMZ reports LAPD identified multiple injured victims, including another victim “observed getting stabbed.” As of Sunday morning, no suspects have been identified or arrested. LAPD is currently investigating the incident as attempted murder.
