Ben Affleck Reveals If He's Dating Again 2 Years After Jennifer Lopez Split, Responds to Shakira Setup Story | Just Jared

Ben Affleck is giving a rare update on his dating life following his split from Jennifer Lopez.

The 54-year-old actor and filmmaker spoke about his relationship status while promoting his upcoming Netflix movie Animals, revealing that finding a new romance isn’t particularly high on his list of priorities right now.

Ben explained that much of his time is already divided between work and his three children, Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 14, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

“It’s not a big priority in my life,” he told Entertainment Tonight when asked about dating.

While Ben isn’t actively searching for a relationship, he also isn’t ruling out finding love again someday.

The Gone Girl star said he’s happy with his life as it currently stands and knows where he wants to put his attention. His children come first, while his career is another major focus.

As for what might happen down the road, he told the outlet, “I’m open to it, but I’m not trying to chase anything.”

His comments come roughly two years after he and Jennifer Lopez separated.

What did Ben say about being set up with Shakira?

Ben was also asked about a story that recently emerged involving Shakira.

Earlier this week, The View co-host Ana Navarro revealed that she once floated the idea of setting Ben and Shakira up after running into his longtime best friend Matt Damon at one of Shakira‘s concerts.

“I hear s*** like that, honestly, first from people like you,” Ben said to ET, adding, “I never heard that in my whole life. People gossip. Stuff gets made up.”

He finished by adding he doesn’t really ever “get set up.”

Ben‘s dating life also came up during a September appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he revealed that his kids have roasted his relationship history when he tries to give them dating advice.
