Taylor Swift has debuted a shorter, curly new hairstyle!

The “Patient Zero” singer was rocking a lob in a new photo shared to Instagram on Tuesday (October 2) celebrating the “fifth Official Chart Double” as “Patient Zero” and The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore simultaneously hit the top of the U.K. charts.

She is also the only singer to have nabbed three no. 1 singles in 2026 so far, according to the post shared by Official Charts. They credit the photo to TAS Rights Management (TAS stands for Taylor Alison Swift).

The comments section was filled with fans hopeful that the new hair is the start of yet another new era, as has so often been the case in the past.

Dakota Johnson has a bold theory about Taylor’s wedding photos.

“The hair the outfit the success YEA QUEEN,” one user wrote.

Another person said, “her hair is so tea omg.”

Several commenters also said the hair was reminding them of Taylor‘s 1989 and Reputation eras.

Back in August, about a month before dropping The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, Taylor stepped out with shorter hair during her first public appearance since her July wedding to Travis Kelce.

Speaking of Travis, he and brother Jason Kelce recently reacted to Taylor‘s new song “Cleveland!” which is an apparent reference to their hometown.
