Angel Carter Conrad is having another baby!
On Thursday (October 1), the 38-year-old twin sister of the late Aaron Carter announced that she’s pregnant and expecting her second child with husband Corey Conrad, revealing that they’re having a boy.
The happy news comes after a “long journey” for the couple, who underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF) to get pregnant again after previously welcoming daughter Harper, 7.
“We were fortunate to get pregnant naturally with Harper, but when we decided we wanted another baby, we discovered that IVF was the only option for us,” Angel told People. “We chose to take that leap, and we’re so grateful for where that journey has brought us.”
“Going through IVF gave us such a newfound respect for the women who’ve walked this road, especially those who have endured multiple rounds and so much uncertainty,” she continued. “It was such an emotional journey for us, and we feel incredibly grateful for this next chapter. Our baby is due in March, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him into our family.”
Angel went on to share that daughter Harper is “over the moon” about becoming a big sister.
“She’s wanted to be a big sister for so many years, and there were times when we didn’t know if it was going to happen for us,” Angel said. “We’ve always been very realistic with her about expectations, so seeing how excited she is now makes it even more special.”
“There will be an eight-year age gap, which I actually think is going to be really wonderful,” she added. “She’s going to be such a big help, and we can’t wait to see their relationship grow.”
She also shared that older brother Nick Carter is thrilled for the couple, especially since it took so long for them to get pregnant again.
“Nick was particularly excited when we found out we were having a baby boy — it was such a sweet moment seeing how happy he was,” Angel shared. “The first trimester was really tough for me, both physically and emotionally, and I had to put a lot of focus on my mental health during that time.”
“It was a reminder of how important it is to take care of yourself and give yourself grace through big life changes,” she continued. “We’re just incredibly grateful to be here and so excited for this next chapter.”
If you were unaware, Aaron tragically passed away in 2022 at the age of 34 from drowning after “inhalation of compressed gas and intake of alprazolam [generic Xanax.]” He is survived by son Prince, who will turn 5 in November.
Angel and Corey – who is the Senior Vice President, Leasing & Brand Partnerships at Caruso according to his Instagram – have been married since 2014.
