Kylie Kelce is apologizing to Kate Middleton.

Kylie, the 34-year-old wife of Jason Kelce who hosts the Not Gonna Lie podcast, issued an apology to Catherine, Princess of Wales during the Thursday (October 1) episode.

The apology stemmed from the September 24 episode of her show when she issued an invitation to the Princess to visit her podcast.

“Princess Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, if you ever wanted to come on and chitchat about some field hockey and maybe kids,” she said. “I don’t know. We got a couple things in common.”

Kylie mentioned that their husbands had already chatted, referring to Prince William‘s visit to Jason‘s podcast New Heights, which he hosts with brother Travis Kelce.

In the most recent episode, Kylie apologized to Princess Catherine because she called her “Princess Kate,” and received some backlash from commenters.

“I love learning, so I was unaware that calling Princess Catherine, Princess Kate was offensive,” Kylie said. “I didn’t know that. Now I know that. Now I will proceed accordingly. I apologize for the mistake. I would like to refer to people in the most respectful way and how they feel respected.”

She continued, “Princess Catherine or the Princess of Wales, I apologize. I will get that sorted immediately starting now.”

While Catherine, Princess of Wales, is Kate‘s formal name, she is still known globally as Kate Middleton and many outlets still refer to her as such to make it easy for people to find news about her and know exactly who is being discussed.

Kylie also said she “agreed” with a commenter who said she’d need to “clean up” her act because the princess is “too refined and beautiful to be subjected” to her cursing.
