Anne Hathaway is issuing an apology for a viral red carpet moment from the Verity premiere.

If you didn’t catch the clip, at the event earlier this week, there was some chaos on the red carpet when a group shot was attempting to be taken by photographers.

Anne then went into “mom mode” to try and make things run a bit more efficiently.

The Viral Clip Showed Anne Hathaway Pointing at Photographers & Assigning Them a Time to Shoot the Shot

“We are going to start from the left and then we can make our way that way,” Anne said, while counting and pointing at photographers to let them know when to start snapping away.

After Anne was done counting, Dakota Johnson, her co-star said, “And then I’m gonna leave.”

On the Tonight Show, Anne Hathaway Addressed the Viral Clip

Anne said that the video is “the stuff of nightmares” and that she went into “mom mode by way of chorus line.”

She continued, “I was trying to be helpful. There were so many of us and the photographers were getting upset, and the vibe was changing.”

“As soon as [I] was done,” Anne recalled, saying her first thought was, “Oh, no.”

Anne added, “I apologize everybody. That girl came out to play last night. Actually, she didn’t come to play. She came for business.”
