Lindsay Lohan has booked a new Netflix romantic movie titled Return to You!
She will both star in and produce the film, and will be joined by Henry Golding.
Here’s the synopsis for the film
Deadline reports: “Return to You follows a powerful but lonely female attorney (Lohan) who mistakenly receives a very emotional DVD sent by a dying woman to her husband (Golding). With only the clues from the DVD as her guide, she sets out to find him.”
Return to You will reunite Lindsay with a frequent collaborator!
This project will reunite Lindsay with her Freaky Friday and Mean Girls director Mark Waters!
In an interview with Variety last year, Mark spoke about their past collaborations and a possible future project. He said, “Back when she was younger, she definitely was into the lure of celebrity and fame and everything that went along with that. So she didn’t seek out the best projects. She’s got her head on straight in a really great way now at this stage in her life, but back then she was just a kid. She didn’t have anybody around her who was guiding her well at the time. But we’ve always been friendly with each other — we reconnected recently in New York when she was shooting a Netflix film. When we hung out recently, we did say it would be fun to find an excuse to do something together.”
