Margot Robbie is going by a different name.
After nearly 10 years of marriage, the 36-year-old Oscar-nominated actress has now using her husband Tom Ackerley‘s last name.
In the new business documents published by the U.K.’s Companies House for LuckyChap Entertainment, the production company she runs with her husband, Margot is listed as “Margot Elise Ackerley.” In previous documentation, the Barbie actress was listed as “Margot Elise Robbie.”
As of 2018, it has been speculated that Margot may have taken her husband’s last name in her private life. According to The Daily Telegraph, the Wuthering Heights actress’ name was listed as “Margot Ackerley” on the seating chart for a friend’s wedding.
Despite the name change, it’s believed that Margot will continue to use “Robbie” in her professional life. She was listed as “Margot Robbie” in the credits for Sterling Point, the coming-of-age Prime Video series co-produces through LuckyChap Entertainment, which premiered on August 5.
Margot and Tom have been married since 2016
Margot and Tom, also 36, first met on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française, in 2013. Margot played Céline Joseph in the movie while Tom was an assistant director. They started dating and founded LuckyChap Entertainment together a year later.
They married in December 2016 in a private ceremony in her native Australia and welcomed their first child, a son, October 2024. Last year, she shared some very rare comments about motherhood!
