Nick Cannon Addresses Mariah Carey Relationship Rumors, Says They Laugh Off Claims They Aren’t Close | Just Jared

Nick Cannon is giving an update on his relationship with ex Mariah Carey.

The 45-year-old Masked Singer host and the singer were married from 2008 to 2016, and shared two kids together, 15-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.

In a new interview, Nick was asked about his family life, relationships, and if he stills keeps in touch with Mariah.

“We talk almost every day or every other day, specifically just about the kids. We were laughing about [reports we’re not close]. I was like, ‘Who is telling people that?’ On the flip side, I’ve heard we’re getting back together. I’ll deliver the truth with the doc. I’m always open [to that]. Our divorce wasn’t messy. We were able to move on and be the best parents we can.” – Nick Cannon, Us Weekly

He continued to say that she “was my greatest friend and my greatest teacher,” and shared what he learned most from her.

“What I learned most from her is how to hold on to what’s true and create your own spaces, without letting outside energy infiltrate,” Nick said. “I’ve never seen somebody operate on their own frequency, and it’s always so positive. And you know all that she’s been through in her life. I think that’s what keeps her going — her faith and her ability to block out negative energy. You feel like you know her, but she keeps all the things that are meaningful to her to herself.”

In 2024, Nick opened up about his “crazy antics” and “madness” while co-parenting with Mariah. He also shared his insecurities while married to the Grammy winner.

Last summer, Mariah shared a rare comment about co-parenting with Nick.
