Pierce Brosnan Reacts to Rumors of 'MobLand' Set Drama with Co-Star Tom Hardy | Just Jared

Pierce Brosnan is breaking his silence on rumors of on-set drama with MobLand co-star Tom Hardy.
Earlier this year, it was reported that there had been a lot of drama going on behind-the-scenes of the Paramount+ series regarding Tom, 48, reportedly clashing with the cast, crew, and producers. It was also reported that he had been fired from the series. However, those issues were worked out and Tom is returning for the upcoming third season of the popular series.
Ahead of the release of season two, which returns on September 18, Pierce, 73, addressed the reports regarding Tom in a new interview with Press Association.

“Oh my God, it was a storm in a teacup, really,” he said. “I love the dude. I love Tom Hardy. I’m a massive fan of the man’s work. Truly.”
Pierce then made it very clear that he, Tom, and their co-star Helen Mirren “are rock solid as a company, as a family.”
“Everyone shows up for work, and everybody’s just there on the spot,” Pierce continued. “It moves very fast so it’s not like we go out and socialize and go to the pub or anything like that. Everyone goes home to their families and before you know it, you’ve done 10 episodes.”
While he didn’t address the reports about the drama and his alleged firing, Tom also praised Pierce and Helen, 81.

“In many aspects of course I look up to them. Coming up, these are actors that came before me,” Tom told PA. “So to be able to work with them is a privilege, but also to be able to enjoy them, watching them spread their wings with their range now as well, and play against their type in some aspects, and really enjoy that is a beautiful thing to watch as a human being.”
“These guys are really talented and they’re having a lot of fun,” he emphasized.
Earlier this week, Tom, Pierce, and Helen all hit the red carpet together at the season 2 premiere in London.
The second season MobLand is set to debut on Friday, September 18 on Paramount+. Watch the trailer here!
