Giada De Laurentiis Reveals Foot Injury Ahead of 'Dancing with the Stars' Debut | Just Jared

Giada De Laurentiis has shared an update on how her Dancing with the Stars rehearsals are going.
The 56-year-old chef will be competing on the ABC competition’s upcoming 35th season, and earlier this week, revealed she injured her toe.
“You know what they say… no pain, no gain,” she captioned a video on Instagram.

“I had a great day at rehearsals today, but sadly, I busted my toe,” she shared in an Instagram video on Sunday (September 6). “Take a look. There’s my toe. As you can see, it’s quite purple, and it wraps all the way around. I’m for sure gonna lose my toenail, I think.”
“Anyway, it hurts, but we’ll figure it out tomorrow. Part of the game,” she added after showing off her purple toe.
Longtime judge Carrie Ann Inaba commented on the post, “You are officially a dancer now.”

Giada De Laurentiis is paired with Alan Bersten
On the new season of Dancing with the Stars, Giada will be competing with her pro partner, Alan Bersten, who has won the Mirrorball Trophy once so far. He’s also been a semifinalist and a runner-up.
On Wednesday (September 9), they revealed their team name: Team Aldente!

Dancing with the Stars season 35 kicks off with a two-night premiere starting next Tuesday (September 15) at 8 pm on ABC and Disney+, and streaming the next day on Hulu.
