Spice Girls fans have a major announcement to look forward to!

The iconic girl group shared a mysterious teaser on Wednesday (September 9), revealing that something will be announced on Thursday (September 10) at 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST.

The teaser was filmed on the steps of London’s St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, the same location famously featured in the group’s “Wannabe” music video. The opening of the song can also be heard in the clip.

But there are a few other clues that have fans wondering exactly what’s coming.

What Are the Spice Girls Announcing?

The newspaper featured in the teaser is also The Stage, the same trade publication that ran the original 1994 advertisement seeking members for the all-female group that would eventually become the Spice Girls.

The teaser tells fans that they’ll need a “vinyl or CD player,” prompting speculation that the announcement could be connected to the 30th anniversary of the group’s debut album Spice.

Fans have also spotted what could be a November 6, 2026 date in what appears to be a fictional phone number in the teaser, reading “(1009) 061126.”

The timing would certainly make sense: the Spice Girls celebrated the 30th anniversary of their debut single “Wannabe” earlier this year, and the Spice album turns 30 in November.

However, the group has not yet revealed exactly what they’re announcing.

Are the Spice Girls Reuniting in 2026?

There has been plenty of speculation about a possible reunion in recent years, though Mel C appeared to rule out a 2026 reunion earlier this year.

Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham have all spoken at various points about wanting to mark the group’s 30th anniversary.

Geri, Mel B, Mel C and Emma last toured together in 2019, while Victoria has not performed publicly with the group since all five members reunited at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

For now, there is no confirmation that Thursday’s announcement will involve a tour, concert, residency or performance. Stay tuned!
