Ciara and Russell Wilson are getting ready to add another little one to their family, and their kids couldn’t be more excited!
The “Goodies” singer announced that she’s pregnant with her fifth child, her fourth with her husband, Russell Wilson.
Ciara, 40, shares Sienna Princess, 9, Win Harrison, 6, and Amora Princess, 2, with the NFL star, while she also has 12-year-old son Future Zahir from her previous relationship with rapper Future.
In an sweet video posted to Instagram on Monday, Wilson gathered their children and tells them they need to take a group picture and a video to send to relatives.
“Why?” asked Future.
“Because we gotta send it to them,” Wilson said before leading the family in a countdown of “Uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco!”
That wasn’t exactly enough confirmation for the kids, who looked confused until Wilson clarified, “Mommy’s pregnant!”
“Actually?” says Future, then yells, “No way…the speculations were true! I knew it!”
The couple called the surprise “the best moment of all” on their Instagram video, which came just one day after announcing the pregnancy to the world.
On Sept. 6, Ciara showed off her growing baby bump on Instagram with a sweet announcement simply captioned, “One more person to Love.”
The post featured a mix of photos and videos of the couple posing outside alongside a clothesline displaying four shirts with their children’s names on them: Future, Sienna, Win and Amora. There was also a tiny baby onesie hanging up with no name on it yet, because apparently the newest Wilson family member still needs a name!
The pregnancy news comes less than two months after Russell, 37, hinted that the couple was hoping to expand their family. During an interview with E! News at Fanatics Fest in July, Russell admitted that he was trying to convince Ciara to go for baby No. 5.
“We have four amazing kids and I’m trying to convince Ciara to have a fifth,” he said. “Cinco, you got to be on the way soon.”
Russell also revealed that having five children was something they both wanted.
“I want to have five, Ciara does too,” he said. “We’ll see. Hopefully, I can convince her.”
It looks like she didn’t need much convincing after all!
Once Ciara shared the big news, the congratulations started pouring in from the couple’s famous friends.
“Another beautiful blessing!!!” La La Anthony commented. “More to love!!!”
“Making space over at Auntie La’s house,” she added. “Love my family. I’m just over here cheesing so hard.”
Vanessa Bryant also joined in on the celebration, writing, “It’s about damn time. 😂 I love you guys so much!!!!! Sooooo happy for you!!! 5️⃣ 🎉🎉🎉😘🥰❤️”
Mariah The Scientist kept it short and sweet, commenting, “Congrats on the starting 5!!”
There’s clearly plenty to celebrate for Ciara and Russell, who marked their 10th wedding anniversary in July.
Just one month earlier, Ciara opened up about what she loves most about her husband and their life as parents.
“I always tell him [that] the sexiest thing about him is watching him be a father to our babies,” she told E! News on June 12. “He’s like Superman to us in the house and we all want a piece of Dad.”
Ciara also praised Russell for having “the biggest heart,” adding, “We don’t have to worry for nothing, which is a blessing.”
