After stealing hearts as Shuri in Marvel’s Black Panther, Letitia Wright may have also just broke them by allegedly revealing she’s already taken and has a wife, Angel.
Following her latest National Theatre debut in Tracy Scott Wilson’s play, The Story, Wright stood dressed in all-white alongside Instagram user @_angel_vicki whose caption sent the internet detectives into digging mode. The woman’s bio also states that she’s married and in the comments of a similar post on her TikTok she confirmed her betrothal again.
“Happy Press Night,” she captioned the loving photos. “I’m beyond proud of you.”
In additional photos posted to her page, Wright’s face is seen again atop cupcakes at a joint birthday celebration last year.
Wright’s rumored affinity for the ladies went above a whisper during the press run for Wakanda Forever when she was spotted in the club with R&B singer Kehlani. The two were seen getting a little close on the dance floor and fans were ready to throw their entire support behind them. However, both parties stayed mum about the random meetup and the rumors quickly died down. Still, fans were on the lookout for who may end up being the special woman in Wright’s life and now we may have the answer.
Wright is set to reprise her role as Shuri in the third installation of Black Panther and though many fans thought she’d be passed the torch of taking on the titular role, it was announced that her fellow Brit, David Jonsson, would be donning the suit for the first time since the untimely passing of actor Chadwick Boseman. Wright’s moving and emotional performance in Wakanda Forever was a driving force behind the film’s success and it was her character who introduced T’Challa’s son, whom fans assume Jonsson will be portraying, in the end.
From Prada campaigns to theatre world premieres, Wright has a lot to be proud of professionally and if this latest news is true, she also has quite the celebration in her personal life too.
