The Greenville Police Department has released a few details regarding the death of Hayden Panettiere.

If you have not heard the tragic news, over the weekend, the Scream alum passed away while at a residence in South Carolina. Apparently, her on-again, off-again boyfriend was there when she passed away.

Police say that Brian Hickerson and his brother were both with Hayden Panettiere when she was declared deceased

According to NBC News, “on-again, off-again partner, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were at the scene inside the apartment complex, Judson Mill Lofts.”

Zach was apparently “very emotional” when EMS were working to try and save Hayden‘s life.

Brian “did not become visibly emotional until EMS declared the 36-year-old actor dead.”

Brian also allegedly provided police with a “bag of medication.”

How did Hayden Panettiere die?

The autopsy was officially performed and the coroner shared a statement on some findings. Reports suggest it could have been an overdose.
