Peacock Announces Premiere Date for ‘Dig’ Comedy Series Starring Amy Poehler & Hugh Laurie

We’re just a few months away from the release of Amy Poehler‘s new show!
Peacock has announced that the upcoming comedy series Dig will premiere on November 23.
The 54-year-old Emmy-winning actress will be starring in the series alongside Hugh Laurie, Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas, Fina Strazza, Jon Pointing, Kayvan Novak, and Bonita Friedericy.

Dig centers a team of dedicated archaeologists (and some less-dedicated college students) who spend their summer working on a dig site in Greece, where they discover a rare artifact that prompts the adventure of a lifetime. The long-buried secret also grants them the potential to rewrite history as they find themselves at the heart of a high-stakes international conspiracy.
In the series, Amy will be playing Elise while Hugh, 67, will play Neville, “a British professor who sincerely loves archaeology and strives to uphold the traditions of this dying profession. He fancies himself an inspiring mentor to everyone who works at the site.”
The new series marks a reunion for Amy and Parks & Rec producer Michael Schur. The two co-wrote the pilot episode and executive produced the series.
