Netflix’s Hockey Drama ‘The Sticks’ Adds Scott Bakula, Logan Marshall-Green, Alex MacIsaac & More to Cast

The Sticks has found its cast!

Scott Bakula, Logan Marshall-Green, Alex MacIsaac and more stars are set to appear in the Netflix drama series, premiering in 2027 and created by Nick Naveda.

What is The Sticks about?

Here’s the official logline: ‘After tragedy shatters a small Minnesota hockey town, a grieving wife steps behind the bench of the team her husband built, guiding a found family of wounded young athletes through a season of loss, love, and rivalry that will decide whether South Dorothy has anything left to believe in, and who will lead it into its next chapter.”

“The Sticks is about a lot of things. Hockey, family, love, loss, class, and coming of all ages. But above all, it’s a story about community and the importance of taking care of one another. Seeing this terrific cast of actors bring their characters to life with such curiosity, empathy and tenderness has been incredibly moving to watch, and I can’t wait for the world to meet the people of South Dorothy,” the creator said in a statement to Tudum.

Who has joined the cast of The Sticks?

Quantum Leap‘s Scott Bakula will play Coach Brody Hansen, while Marshals star Logan Marshall-Green plays Coach Sully. When Calls The Heart star Alex MacIsaac plays Emma Boone. The three are all series regulars.

Several big names also joined as recurring stars.

Suits LA star Bryan Greenberg plays Cliff Barnes, while Chelsea Field of NCIS: New Orleans plays Alice Hansen.

Big Sky‘s Patrick Gallagher plays Principal Montgomery, Peacemaker actress Alison Araya is Joan Garcia, and Allegiance star Aman Smardon is Kai Becker.

Narc‘s Krista Bridges plays Frankie Ryder, and The Night Agent‘s Ben Cotton plays Mr. Marchbanks.

The previously announced cast includes Michelle Monaghan (as Harper Sullivan), Emilie Bierre (as Riley Sullivan), Shai Chase (as Henry Sullivan), Josh MacQueen (as Rhett Nelson), Costa D’Angelo (as Owen Boone), Carter Shimp (as Austin Ryder), Ethan Holder (as Cooper Cunningham), Isaac Arellanes (as Manny Rodriguez), Chloe Avakian (as Izzy Miller), Caleb Baumann (as Elu), River Codack (as Tyler Walker), Angus Albinati (as Jack McGrath), and Callum Orchison (as Derek Marchbanks).

When does the show come out?
