Hilary Duff Pays Tribute to Late Childhood Boyfriend Aaron Carter During Concert

Hilary Duff is paying tribute to late ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter.

The 38-year-old Luck… or something singer and Lizzie McGuire actress was performing on her Lucky Me Tour on Sunday night (August 9) in Philadelphia, Penn.

During the performance, she wore a vintage white tee bearing Aaron‘s name and image in tribute to the late child star, who died in 2022 at the age of 34. You can see footage of her performing while wearing the shirt right here.

Hilary Duff & Aaron Carter’s Relationship Timeline

The two were romantically linked between 2000 through 2003, and were both 13 when he made a guest cameo on an episode of her hit Disney Channel show, called “Aaron Carter’s Coming to Town.”

Aaron Carter Recently Came Up During Hilary Duff’s Psychic Reading

During a recent episode of the Las Culturistas podcast, Hilary revealed that the late “I Want Candy” singer appeared during one of her psychic readings.

“I was, like, ‘How do I start? Do I start asking you questions?’” Hilary recalled. “She’s, like, ‘Well, people are going to start showing up to speak with you, and there’s someone here: Aaron with two A’s.’”

The Younger actress questioned whether Aaron had really come through, considering it had been years since they dated as teens in the early 2000s.

“She was, like, ‘Sure is. What the hell is he doing here?’” Hilary said. “I was like, ‘Well, that’s my childhood boyfriend. And, you know, that would make sense to me.’ And, she’s like, ‘Are you Hilary Duff?’”

Hilary Duff Previously Shared a Heartfelt Tribute After Aaron Carter’s Death

Hilary shared a tribute on social media following the sad news of his death four years ago.

“For Aaron,” she wrote. “I’m deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in-front of the whole world. You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent.”

“Boy did my teenage self love you deeply,” Hilary added. “Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy.”

Fans picked up on what appeared to be a subtle nod to her ex-husband in concert as well.
