‘Earth Wind & Fire’ Medical Emergency Revealed After Cancelling San Francisco Concert at Last Minute

The iconic band Earth, Wind & Fire canceled their concert on Thursday night (August 6) due to a “medical emergency involving a member of their band” and now more details have been revealed.
EWF is currently touring with Lionel Richie and they were scheduled to play San Francisco’s Chase Center on Thursday. When fans arrived at the venue, they discovered that the concert had been postponed.
The medical emergency did not involved any of the longtime members of the group who are still performing: Verdine White, Philip Bailey, or Ralph Johnson.

John Paris suffered a medical emergency
TMZ has learned that the band’s current drummer, John Paris, is the person who suffered a medical emergency. He has been performing with the band since 2001.
The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed the news to TMZ and said a “fire engine and private ambulance responded to the venue for a cardiac incident, and one person was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.”
It’s unclear how he’s doing at the moment and we’re sending our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The tour is currently set to continue with shows on August 8 in Palm Desert, but it’s unknown if those shows will be postponed or not.
