Karol G is ready to kick off a new musical era.
The 35-year-old Colombian superstar kicks off her new album NO ME ARREPIENTO DE SENTIR TANTO, which arrived on Friday (August 7), with an emotional and angry opener, which fans are speculating are about her ex Feid. (The two recently broke up after three years of dating.)
“Yo miré atrás y ahí nos vi / No había fe y me perdí / ¿Qué fue del amor? ¿Del éxtasis? / ¿Qué fue del lindo que yo conocí?” she begins on the track, co-produced by Tainy. (” looked back and there I saw us / There was no faith and I was lost / What became of love? Of ecstasy? / What became of the handsome man I knew?”)
“¿Dónde está el cielo? Que no lo veo / Siempre que lo alcanzo se me escapa de los de’os / Siento que perdí poniéndote a ti de primero / Eres un cabrón, igual todo te importa cero,” she declares. (“Where is the sky? I can’t see it / Every time I reach it, it slips through my fingers / I feel like I lost by putting you first / You’re a bastard, you don’t care about anything.”)
Earlier in the week, Karol shared intimate thoughts about love and pain in a teaser video for the album.
