Kathy Griffin Reveals the Celebrity Friend Who Ignored Her at the Airport Amid Trump Photo Backlash | Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Kathy Griffin is opening up about her famous friends – and former friends.

The 65-year-old comedian opened up on her YouTube channel in a new video called “Kathy Talks MORE Celebrity Encounters!” about her various experiences with famous friends.

At one point, she addressed her relationship with Dave Grohl.

“Oh, okay. So, this is my former friend Dave Grohl. Look, I love the Foo Fighters. I think they’re one of the greatest bands ever,” she began.

“Dave is going through a bit of a dip right now in the PR world because he stepped out on his wonderful wife and had a baby with another woman, then made an announcement about it saying he was going to take care of the baby and was still working on his marriage. It was just a bummer for so many of us chicks that are used to dudes in rock and roll being douchebags. It seemed like Dave Grohl was the only good one.”

“He and I used to be kind of friendly. We’d email every so often, and I would see him at gigs. I was in one of their videos one time for, I think it was Fuse TV. Anyone remember that?” she went on to say.

“Then my scandal happened with the Trump photo, and I ran into him at JFK. It was at the newsstand, and I didn’t want to initiate a conversation because I was so used to celebrities not wanting anything to do with me, or even wanting anyone to see them standing next to me, and telling me so,” she went on.

“And then Dave acted like he didn’t know me. Now, maybe he didn’t see me, because I’m so hard to miss in a newsstand. He was like two seats away from me on the plane. Then I thought, well, maybe I should just go up to him. And I thought, no, if he’s being like this because of the Trump head picture scandal, it’s just going to be awkward.”

“And so that’s why I say my former friend. But still an A+ musician, but, you know, has some issues as being the only nice dude in rock and roll. Maybe,” she concluded. Watch above.
