Dave Bautista is In Talks to Replace Ryan Hurst as Kratos in Amazon's 'God of War' Series | Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Dave Bautista might be joining Amazon’s God of War series.
The Marvel star is in negotiations to play Kratos in the upcoming video game adaptation, according to Deadline.
The news comes after Ryan Hurst was seriously injured on set four months into the shoot. He tore a bicep and had to get surgery and the recovery process is longer than production is able to wait to have him rejoin the show.
God of War has been on a production pause since then as a decision to recast was only recently made, with prep to begin in mid-August for a mid-October start in Vancouver.
Coming from a wrestling background, Dave is primed to take over a physically demanding role like Kratos with limited preparation time. He also had to bulk up recently already for his Highlander movie.
God of War follows father and son Kratos and Atreus as they embark on a journey to spread the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye. Through their adventures, Kratos tries to teach his son to be a better god, while Atreus tries to teach his father how to be a better human. Find out who else is in the cast!
Find out what the creator of God of War had to say about the initial still from the show shared earlier this year.
