Chase Sui Wonders is dishing on working with Madonna on the upcoming second season of The Studio.
The 30-year-old actress will reprise her role as Quinn Hackett, Seth Rogen‘s character’s former assistant, who gets promoted to junior executive, while the superstar singer takes on a “crazy” cameo.
While attending the premiere of her new movie, I Want Your Sex, this week, Chase opened up about getting to work with Madonna.
“It was better than you ever could have possibly imagined,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Madonna is the coolest—everyone knows this, but she’s also funny as hell and such a hard worker, and really was excited to show up for our show, which felt very surreal.”
Chase also gushed over another new co-star in season two, Julia Garner, whom she called “an absolute star.”
Earlier this year, Chase, Madonna, and Julia were all seen filming scenes for The Studio in Venice, Italy, alongside Seth Rogen, Bryan Cranston, Ike Barinholtz, and Kathryn Hahn.
A release date for season two of The Studio has not been revealed at this time. The first season debuted in March 2025, so it’s possible we might have to wait until March 2027.
Here’s the show’s synopsis: Seth Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of embattled Continental Studios. As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films. As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes movies, it’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him.
