Matt Damon and Charlize Theron had a surprise for Christopher Nolan at the photo call for The Odyssey in China!

The pair, who co-star in the film, stepped out for the event on Thursday (July 30) in Beijing, China alongside their director, as well as Emma Thomas, his wife and a producer on the movie.

Today is Christopher‘s birthday, and he’s turning 56 years old. The co-stars surprised him with a cake to help him celebrate!

By the way, the film is headed to China and will open in theaters on August 14. The Odyssey features an A-list roster of stars, including Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Robert Pattinson as Antinous, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, and Charlize Theron as Calypso. Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Himesh Patel, John Leguizamo, and Mia Goth all star as well.

The film is already in theaters in the United States.
