RogerEbert.com says: “[It] is a lighter and more shamelessly entertaining outing than its predecessor, and if it’s not exactly reinventing the wheel when it comes to storytelling, the show has figured out what it’s good at, and unabashedly leans into it.”

Screen Rant gave it 4 out of 10, writing: “Ransom Canyon season 2 feels more like a faint echo or bygone ripple of season 1 in that it’s derivative, plain, and mostly uninspired.”
