Sombr is singing about his body insecurities on his new single “My Body Isn’t Ready,” which is out now.

The 20-year-old rock star, whose real name is Shane Michael Boose, just dropped a music video for the track, which features rising stars Obsession actress Inde Navarrette and Off Campus actor Josh Heuston.

The song follows Sombr having feelings for a woman, but not feeling confident enough to be with her because he doesn’t like the way he looks.

“I like you, but my body isn’t ready / I want you, but the mirror won’t let me / I try to be the person you’re expecting / But I’m not ready, I’m not ready,” Sombr sings on the track.

Sombr sings on the bridge, “If I could crawl out of my own skin, would you let me in? / If we could just be those kids again, maybe I could swim.”
