Donald Trump is making some things clear amid his newly announced ceasefire deal with Iran.

Early Wednesday (April 8), the 79-year-old president took to social media to address some key issues and answer lingering questions about the deal.

In the process, he issued a threat against anyone who might be arming Iran during a pause in the war that he started in late February.

In a first post on Truth Social, Trump addressed two key points about the talks with Iran, saying that the U.S. “will work closely” with the country’s new leadership during this period.

His first point had to do with the country’s nuclear capabilities, which was the key reason that the president said he’d initiating military strikes in the first place.

“There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried (B-2 Bombers) Nuclear ‘Dust.’ It is now, and has been, under very exacting Satellite Surveillance (Space Force!). Nothing has been touched from the date of attack,” Trump wrote.

He continued, saying that he would be speaking with Iran about “tariff and sanctions relief” moving forward.

In a follow-up post, Trump turned his attention to anyone who might be arming Iran, threatening, “A Country supplying Military Weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed, on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions!”

The ceasefire agreement — announced on Tuesday (April 7) — came mere hours before the president’s imposed deadline of 8 p.m. In a statement earlier in the day, the president had threatened that “a whole civilization will die” if an agreement wasn’t reached.

Trump was recently directly asked if he was threatening to commit war crimes in Iran. See his combative response.
