Sia has broken her silence on the details of her child support settlement, which were publicly released earlier this week.

The 50-year-old singer took to X on Tuesday (April 7) to share some thoughts on the news, noting that the settlement details had been shared online.

“I see my settlement has been picked up by the press,” she wrote. “I’m a sober working mom trying to buy peace. I have primary custody of our son and since i am the only parent earning income i still have to pay California’s incredibly high child support.”

According to the documents, Sia will have to pay her estranged husband Dan Bernad $42,500 a month. The payments started on April 1.

Her social media post continued, “This has been a horrific year but it taught me how to navigate incredibly difficult situations, prioritize my family and not absorb other people’s negativity. ‘To err is human, to forgive is divine.’”

Earlier that same day, she tweeted, “good dads get jobs.”

The “Chandelier” singer shares 2-year-old son Somersault Wonder Bernad with Dan.

Additional details of their custody agreement also revealed that the couple will share legal custody of their son and split the holidays, with Sia getting Christmas, Easter, and Mother’s Day, while Dan gets Hanukkah and Father’s Day.
